Why do water mains always break in Tempe???

Why do so many water mains break and flood streets in Tempe?

Well the system is at least 50 years old and everybody knows it needs major maintenance, because water mains have a life of about 50 years. But instead of spending the money to do the pm or preventive maintenance that is required the royal rulers of Tempe would rather give the money to special interest groups.

Remember our royal rulers don't work us serfs they rule over, they work for the special interest groups that help them get elected.

Traffic was being temporarily diverted in Tempe on Saturday due to a water main break near Apache Boulevard and Rural Road.

Northbound traffic on Rural Road was being rerouted onto eastbound Spence Avenue. Motorists on southbound Rural Road were being diverted onto eastbound or westbound Apache Boulevard.

Tempe officials said it was not clear how long the restriction would need to be in place. Crews were still trying to determine the exact location of the break as of Saturday afternoon.

No further details on the main break were immediately available.
